Noodles and dumplings are the essence of comfort food to me, from a broth bowl of ramen and a plate of sticky gyoza dumplings, to a bowl of freshly made pasta and some fluffy gnocchi, they bring joy whoever you are!

On this action packed day, we’ll make some soba noodles from scratch and put together a ramen bowl for lunch. Then we’ll turn our hand to pleated dumplings (gyoza) - or just folded according to how much of a hurry you’re in, which we’ll cook up as pot stickers, filled with umami. We’ll also make some beautiful potato gnocchi for you to take home for supper, and learn how to roll and pattern them just like gonna - I’ll cook up a batch for you to taste of course. Finally we’ll all make a couple of date pastries - perfect balls of chestnut pastry, filled with a mixture of date and cardamom, rolled in sugar and baked. I’ll bake these up to enjoy with our tea.

The course can be suitable for dairy free, vegetarian, nut free and low FODMAP diets, but not egg free or vegan.

The course is held at the London Cooking Project in Battersea and runs from 10am to 4pm.

I offer one discounted place on each of my courses to someone who is on a low income such as students or those in receipt of benefits, if this is you and you’d like to claim the place, please contact me through the contact page on this website, or through instagram. The place may already have been taken, but I can let you know which courses still have a discounted place on them. payment is in two instalments of £45 and I ask you to offer an hour of your time before and after the course starts in order to help set up and clear down.

50% of the course fee is refundable up to 1 month before the course commences. After than date the course fee is non refundable unless you or I can find someone to replace you before the course starts. If you cancel within 48 hours of the course date the fee is non refundable.
